Psillium bran (Organic)
250 g
Whole husk of plantain flea (Plantago Ovata). Psillium is a key ingredient in low-carb and gluten-free pastries. Due to its unique absorbent properties, these bran is transformed by adding liquid to a sticky jelly-like mass that holds the dough together and makes it elastic. Psillium can also be added to traditional pastries to give it more airiness, increase its fiber content and reduce calorie content. If you add psyllim to the dough, then increase the amount of liquid in it. Let the dough stand for 5-10 minutes so that the psyllium can absorb the liquid. In addition, psyllium can be used to make sauces, smoothies, add to minced meat, etc. Psillium is an excellent source of soluble fiber. Studies have shown that consumption of psyllium has a beneficial effect on digestion, normalizes blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and helps with colitis and constipation.
Psillium in the form of bran can be used in all recipes where psyllium flour is indicated, but its amount will need to be slightly increased. Whole bran psyllium is especially popular as a means of normalizing digestion in stomach upsets, constipation and colitis. For the use of psyllium for medicinal purposes, dilute one tablespoon of bran in a glass of water, stir and drink quickly until it has time to turn into jelly. It can be taken twice daily in the morning and evening. When taking psyllium, you should increase your water intake. Do not use orally when dry!
WARNING: if you are taking insulin, or statins, then you may have to lower your dose of medication, as Psillium can lower blood sugar and cholesterol. Consult your healthcare professional.
