Natural oil obtained by cold pressing from copra – the oily pulp of coconuts. In many countries of Southeast Asia, curry is fried using this product, although the light sweetish flavor of this oil and the light coconut flavor are also excellent for making LCHF pastries and sweets. The high content of saturated fatty acids makes this oil very resistant to heat (the ignition point is from 172 to 230 degrees), so coconut oil is best suited for frying. At room temperature, it is semi-soft and does not deteriorate for months. Contains health-beneficial lauric fatty acid. According to some reports, it positively impacts cholesterol content and helps control pathogenic bacteria. Compared to other oils, coconut provides a feeling of satiety for a longer period.
